The Caorle lagoon

Ernest Hemingway, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1954, dedicated some of the finest pages of “Across the River and into the Trees” to Caorle. The novel describes the places, landscapes and atmospheres that still make the Caorle lagoon special today.
You can either go around the Caorle lagoon by following a cycling route of approximately 14 km or by travelling along its magnificent canals in one of the boats that can be hired at the fishing harbour.

Caorle’s Vallevecchia conservation area

The Vallevecchia conservation area lies approximately 200 metres away from Caorle as the crow flies. It is perhaps the only stretch of coastline in the Northern Adriatic to remain untouched by urbanization.
The waters of both the sea and the lagoon lap against the shore of the island of Vallevecchia, which is home to ecosystems of exceptional interest and a beautiful sandy beach in a pristine, natural state.
It is separated from Caorle by the mouth of the lagoon. Thanks to a ferry service that was launched in 2021, it is now possible to travel to both Bibione and the Vallevecchia conservation area by sea. Bicycles can be taken on board.
Getting to the island by land involves a car journey of approximately 40 km.

Playing golf in Caorle

The course at Pra’ delle Torri Golf Club in Caorle winds its way through an expansive area of greenery by the sea.
A wide range of facilities and services are available all year round, including equipment hire, a restaurant and a club house with a changing room and showers.

For cycling enthusiasts

In Caorle, cycling enthusiasts can choose between a number of routes that go along the coast and through the beautiful parks of Valle Altanea to Duna Verde, alongside the numerous canals that flow through the Veneto countryside, or inland towards the archaeological sites of Concordia Sagittaria.
If you head 3 km inland from Caorle, you can visit the rural village of Ca’ Corniani. It is home to a multi-purpose hub at the heart of an agriculture, art and culture promotion initiative and has a rental service for bicycles of all kinds, including ones of a professional standard.

The water park

There is something for everyone at the water park in Caorle, including groups and families. As well as swimming pools and water slides, you will find plenty of areas where you can unwind, sunbathe or have a picnic. There is a nursery area for little ones and the shallow pools are ideal for building up children’s confidence in the water.
In the expanses of greenery you can exercise to stay in shape or simply have fun playing games.
The staff are always close at hand and happy to help.
You can buy tickets – including ones with special deals – directly from the hotel.
